About the Summit 2024

  • The NYU STEBA x NBCU Summit 2024: The Power of Content is the premier event for entertainment professionals in NYC to come together and unlock the entertainment industry’s inner-workings and innovation for the future. The Summit is NYU’s first entertainment business conference for undergraduate students.

    At the one-day Summit, STEBA and NBCU will bring industry professionals together to empower students with the key industry knowledge and practical skills needed to take the next step in their entertainment careers through a series of panel discussions, skills workshops, and networking opportunities.

  • In an ever-changing entertainment landscape, content remains at the core of the industry. Thus, our Inaugural Summit’s theme is “The Power of Content.”

    Industry professionals within the heart of NYC will come together to share insights on how content, audiences, and technology are shaping the future of the entertainment industry.

  • The Summit will take place on Friday, April 5th, from 9:00am-4:00pm, at NYU Stern School of Business in the Kaufman Management Center (44 W 4th St., New York, NY 10012).

    This is an in-person event. We are excited to provide an engaging and interactive experience, while ensuring a safe attendee experience. Sessions will not be live-streamed or available virtually.

  • No matter if you are a freshman or a senior, you will be able to gain key industry knowledge and practical skills for whatever industry you’re exploring at the Summit. From film to sports and marketing to production, you’ll be able to explore a diversity of industries, job functions, and career paths.

    Not only will you be able to hear key business insights from high-level entertainment executives, but you’ll also learn key practical skills to prepare you for the next step in your entertainment business career.

  • The Summit is only available for current NYU undergraduate students to attend. This includes undergraduate students from any NYU school (e.g. Stern, Tisch, Steinhardt, CAS, SPS, Gallatin, Tandon, LS). This event is not open to NYU graduate-level students or NYU alumni. Please email steba@stern.nyu.edu for specific inquiries.

  • The Summit is restricted to current NYU undergraduate students only. Each attendee must register to purchase a ticket in order to attend.

  • To attend the summit, registration costs $5. Please reserve your spot here.

  • Attendees are encouraged to put their best foot forward by wearing business casual attire.

  • There will be lunch and small refreshments and snacks provided for student attendees and industry professionals. Gluten-free and vegetarian options will be available.
